A new era begins for Luther College swimming and diving as the Norse will begin competition in the new state of the art David E.G. and Patricia Miller Natatorium. This 25-yard, eight-lane pool with separate one-meter and three-meter diving well, is one of the finest facilities in the Upper Midwest.
The facility is equipped with wireless internet that allows the sports information department to video stream home events.
The men have competed for 47 years, while the women have competed for 40 seasons. In 2003, the Iowa Conference sponsored the first league championship for men's and women's swimming and diving. Both the men's and women's teams have dominated this championship capturing seven and six league titles respectively.
Since 1992, the men have won seven Liberal Arts Championships, including five of the last nine years. The women have won 10 titles at this same meet including the last seven in a row and have finished runner-up six times.
