The summer programs include two four-week summer sessions offering academic courses in June and July. Summer Session I classes are held May 31 - June 24 and Summer Session II classes are held June 27 - July 22. Classes during both sessions will be held Monday through Friday (with the exception of Monday, July 4). We are offering in-class as well as on-line classes this summer. The normal credit load is four credits per four-week session.
Return completed application form with the $50 non-refundable registration fee to Office of the Registrar, Luther College, 700 College Drive, Decorah, IA 52101 by May 17 for either session.
The application form constitutes your actual registration; you will be assumed to be attending class and will receive a bill for the balance of your tuition (plus room and board, if applicable) unless you withdraw your registration via my.luther.edu or by contacting the Registrar’s Office in writing by May 17. Tuition refund policy for cancellation of registration after this date appears under “Refund Policy.”
Course offerings for both summer sessions are available for viewing at my.luther.edu. The online course in applied calculus offered through ACM might be offered again in summer 2016. Check their webpage (http://www.acm.edu/off_campus_study/Online_courses0.html) in the spring for details about the course and application instructions. Anyone interested in this course can contact the Registrar's office for information when it becomes available.
Registration by May 17 for Summer Session I and Summer Session II is strongly encouraged. Students registered for courses which have been canceled due to low enrollment will be notified by the Registrar’s Office on May 19. On the application form please indicate the course(s) in which you wish to enroll plus an alternate in the event that your first choice is canceled. Registration for courses not canceled will be accepted through the first day of classes for each session.

On the first day of the session you are enrolled in you must settle all accounts with the Office for Financial Services located in Main Building.

Summer Housing in college residence halls is available by application for students who commute more than 30 miles to campus. An application for summer housing is required and is available in the Residence Life office or in the Summer Housing section of their website. Please note that a summer meal plan is required for students who live on campus for the summer; contact Residence Life or Dining Services for prices and additional information.
Students enrolled in Summer Sessions should request a summer Student Post Office (SPO) box at the Mail Center in the Dahl Centennial Union.
