Cantus is the premier all-male a cappella ensemble that the Washington Post proclaims exhibits “exalting finesse” and “expressive power.” In Before Us, Cantus weaves the fabric of America’s musical history to recount the immigrant journey, from setting sail to becoming part of a new community. This exploration of how “we all come to look for America” features music from choral composers, contemporary icons, Northern Plains Indian communities, Southern work fields, and the Old West.
