Shankar's exotic beauty, prodigious talent and impeccable pedigree have made her a concert hall favorite in the West.
—The New York Times
Anoushka Shankar is Ravi Shankar's daughter and student, and like her legendary father, a celebrated performer on the sitar, the plucked stringed instrument widely used in the music of the Indian subcontinent since the middle Ages. Anoushka is deeply rooted in Indian classical music yet blazes her own innovative trail as sophisticated as it is seductive. This prodigy will provide an acoustic evening of spellbinding, spiritual sitar.
