Center Stage Series

River North Dance Chicago

This season’s amazing lineup turns up the heat, and I know you’ll be thrilled that these artists—and the incredible experiences they offer—are right here and so easy to enjoy!

The very best art affects us in ways we can genuinely feel. This year, you’ll feel the passion, the infectious energy, and the stirring power of the performances on stage. Take those sensations with you and let them inspire your work, your connections with family, and your own creativity in our community.

Kick up your spirits with the exquisite sizzle of Tango Fire, the exuberance of husband and wife team Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy in Masters of the Fiddle, and the brilliance and humor of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.

Delve into art that is rich, beautiful, and distinctive as River North Dance Chicago moves to Eva Cassidy’s soulful voice and Simon Shaheen reveals his masterful technique on the middle eastern oud.

Relish the alluring sound of our recently refurbished, elegant nine-foot Steinway grand piano, which was originally a gift to the Center for Faith and Life from the Luther College Woman’s Club. We celebrate this fine instrument in two very special programs—the Weiss Kaplan Newman Trio’s evening of classical Beethoven and Philip Glass’s influential contemporary compositions.

This fall we’ll unveil a new Box Office system that will be loaded with new features including the ability to choose your own seats online—even when you order your subscription next year! While individual ticket purchases will have a low standard ticketing fee, we’ve added another benefit to being a subscriber—no fees when you order your package!

I truly love this season, and I hope you will too. Join us as a subscriber. You’ll get the best prices, best seats, and greatest access to artists, and you’ll avoid ticket fees. Plus you’ll feel the thrill of giving a gift to yourself and supporting arts in your community. It’s easy, and you can start with just five shows. Summer’s the time—subscriptions can be purchased only until August 23.

Big ideas, big names, and big emotions fill this season because local sponsors allow us to reach for the stars. Tanya GertzDecorah Bank & Trust, Gundersen Health System, Luther College Diversity Council, and Winneshiek Medical Center are invaluable arts champions in northeast Iowa.

Be a part of this wonderful season—feel it! With much joy,

Tanya MB Gertz
