Norse Writing Center

The Norse Writing Center is a resource available to all Luther students who seek assistance in writing. The Center is located on the main level of Preus Library, under the sign "Writing Help."

The Center is staffed by peer tutors who work in 30-minute one-on-one sessions to help students with:

  • paper assignments in all subject areas or courses
  • senior projects
  • job application letters
  • "personal statements" for graduate or professional schools

The tutors help writers in all stages of the writing process—pre-writing, topic exploration, drafting and revision.

Writing Center hours are 3:00-10:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday (fall and spring semester). During January Term, the Center helps students by arrangement, scheduled through SASC

To make an appointment with a writing tutor, go to Katie and click on the Norse Writing Center logo. Walk-in appointments are welcome, but tutors give priority to appointments scheduled in advance.
