Alumnus James Ripley returns to NE Iowa

Luther alumnus James Ripley, class of 1981, is returning to Northeast Iowa to conduct two orchestra performances in Cresco March 4. Ripley, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from Luther, is currently the Director of Instrumental Music Activities at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He will be conducting the Carthage Wind Orchestra at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 4. The orchestra will accompany the showing of 'The General,' a silent film comedy by Buster Keaton, at the Cresco Theatre and Opera House at 3 p.m. Sunday.
