    Iowa Conference of the AAUP confers Edward S. Allen Award on Luther's Ruth Caldwell

    The Iowa Conference of the American Association of University Professors announced the conferring of two awards for outstanding service at its April 11 meeting. The conference presented Ruth Caldwell, professor of modern language at Luther College, with the 2015 Edward S. Allen Award and Warren Zemke, emeritus professor of chemistry at Wartburg College, with the 2014 Edward S. Allen Award.

    Luther presents 'Metamorphoses' by Mary Zimmerman

    Luther College's Visual and Performing Art department presents "Metamorphoses" by Mary Zimmerman. The performances will be held in the Jewel Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the Luther campus May 1-2 and 7-9. Due to adult themes and content, only mature audiences are encouraged to attend.

    Victoria Barnett to give lecture on Dietrich Bonhoeffer April 23

    Victoria Barnett, staff director at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and member of the museum's committee on ethics, religion, and the Holocaust will present a lecture at 6:30 p.m., April 23, in the Franklin W. Olin Building Room 102. The lecture, titled "Dietrich Bonhoeffer: 'Unfinished' Hero," is open to the public with no charge for admission. A reception will follow the lecture.

    'Studying Religion at a College of the Church'

    The Luther College Religion Department will host "Studying Religion at a College of the Church," the final event in the 2014-15 Luther College Religion Forum Series, "Teaching Religion at a College of the Church." The forum will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in Room 102 of the Franklin W. Olin Building on the Luther campus. The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.
