Cathedral Choir, directed by Dr. Sandra Peter, performs a varied program of sacred music. Composed of nearly 90 select singers drawn from the college's sophomore class, its membership reflects a wide range of academic disciplines.
The Cathedral Choir is active in campus worship, performs in the annual Christmas at Luther celebration, and sings at several special events and concerts throughout the academic year.

At Luther, she also directs Pike Kor (100 first-year women) and teaches conducting.
Peter holds degrees from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), the University of Arizona, and the University of Iowa. Her conducting mentors include Jan Gilbertson, Paul J. Christiansen, William Hatcher and Timothy Stalter.
Luther's music program includes six auditioned choirs. Luther is a selective four-year college located in northeast Iowa. The college has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students and offers a liberal arts education leading to the bachelor of arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs.
