David Judisch, Professor of Music and Head of Voice and Opera, maintains an active career as singer, stage director, conductor, teacher, and administrator. He has performed over forty baritone operatic roles and has appeared frequently with regional orchestras, opera companies, and choral societies in both opera and oratorio. He has studied and performed in Graz, Austria, where he worked with such teachers as Eleanor Steber, Robert Evans, and Herald Stark. He has been a frequent adjudicator for state and regional vocal competitions, and was twice a district winner in the NATS Artist Awards Competition. Judisch received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa. He serves as Director-in-Chief of the Norwegian Singers Association of America and is currently Director of Dorian Summer Music Camps.
