Dorian Middle School Summer Camp

Dorian Summer Camp students play the trumpet.

June 12-18, 2016

Every summer, nearly 300 student musicians entering grades 7, 8, and 9 spend a week at Luther College to study, explore, and perform music under the mentorship of Luther's music faculty.

The daily camp schedule includes ensemble rehearsals for band, choir, and orchestra (strings only), instrument-specific workshops, a wide variety of classes, and private lessons, offset by evening talent nights, concerts, and a variety of sports. The camp ends with a grand concert in Luther's Center for Faith and Life.

Students live in residence halls on campus and eat their meals at the college cafeteria. A dedicated, caring group of college-age counselors supervise the halls and daily activities.

The 2016 Camp fee is $498, which includes tuition and room and board. Optional private lessons are available in voice, all instruments, composition and dance at a cost of $40 for a pair of half hour lessons.
