44th Annual Dorian Orchestra Festival
February 8-9, 2015

High school string students are invited to participate in the Dorian Orchestra Festival. Students are placed on one of two orchestras: the Festival String Orchestra or the select Chamber Orchestra. The Luther College Symphony Orchestra performs for the festival participants during the weekend. Two student soloists are selected to perform at the festival concert, along with the three festival orchestras.

Students also have the opportunity to receive a mini-lesson from a Luther College faculty member. This may serve as an audition for a music scholarship for those seniors interested in attending Luther College. If students are interested in auditioning for a scholarship in voice, piano, or other instruments while on campus for the Festival, this may be arranged by calling the Admissions Office at 1-800-4LUTHER.

Interested in auditioning for an orchestra music scholarship?

Students interested in attending Luther the following year may audition on their Festival instrument  for a music scholarship during the Festival. The audition is scheduled by checking the Scholarship option on the Festival nomination form.

If students are also interested in auditioning for a scholarship in voice, piano or another instrument while on campus for the Festival, they may arrange to do so by calling the Admissions Office at 1-800-4LUTHER.
