The Luther College Music Department presents a group recital consisting of Luther's registered chamber groups at 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4. in the Noble Recital Hall in the Jensen-Noble Hall of Music. This event is open to the public with no charge for admission.
Groups are selected for the recital based on an application process. Chamber groups are faculty-coached. Each group is comprised of music students who show extreme dedication to their craft.
Luther is home to one of the largest undergraduate music programs in the nation with six choirs, three bands, three orchestras, two jazz bands and nearly 800 student musicians. Luther students participate in large ensembles, faculty-coached chamber groups, private lessons and master classes. More that 275 music majors study music theory/ear training, history, education, composition, jazz, church music and performance.
