Saturday Music Showcase Concert: Nordic Choir and Symphony Orchestra

The Luther College Nordic Choir and Symphony Orchestra will perform together in the Saturday Music Showcase at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 23, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus.

The performance is open to the public with no charge for admission.

Nordic Choir, directed by Allen Hightower, will perform from a list of selections. Possible pieces include "Ave Verum Corpus" by William Byrd, "Singet Dem Herrn Ein Neues Lied" by Bach and "O Lord God" by Paul Chesnokov.

Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Daniel Baldwin will perform "Three Dances" from "The Three-Cornered Hat" by Mauel de Falla, "Ah! Je veux vivre" from Roméo et Juliette by Charles Gounod featuring senior Jennifer LeDoux as the vocal soloist, and Capriccio Espagnol, Op. 34 by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
