Together, Cantorei and the Luther Ringers will perform "Peter, Go Ring them Bells" arranged by Gwyn Arch.
Cantorei will perform two Spanish folk-song arrangements by Juan Tony Guzmán, Luther professor of music, two Moravian duets in Czechoslovakian by Antonín Dvořák and several sacred selections including "Arise, My Soul, Arise" by Dan Forrest and "I Lift My Eyes" by Bob Chilcott. The choir will be accompanied by choir member Madison Norell, Luther senior, and Jessica Paul, Luther professor of music, on piano, and Benjamin Henson, Luther senior, on violin. The ensemble is directed by Linda Martin, Luther instructor in music. This will be Martin's last concert as director of Cantorei. Martin has been directing Cantorei since 2005.
The Luther Ringers will perform "The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came" by Joel Raney; "Bread of Angels" by William Payn; "In Bright Mansions Above" by Karen L. Buckwalter; "On Eagle's Wings" an original composition by Katie Fillmore, Luther senior and Luther Ringers member, and "Over the Rainbow" by Harold Arlen, arranged by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole and Chris Peck. The 13-member bell choir, chosen by audition each year, is directed by Gregory Peterson, Luther associate professor of music and college organist.
