All Luther students have the opportunity to take applied music lessons. Students receive rigorous instruction from music department faculty preparing them for performance in seminars and recitals. Although students receive academic credit for applied instruction, the cost of lessons is not included in the comprehensive fee. Prospective students are encouraged to audition for lesson scholarships to cover this cost. The current cost for the 2014-15 academic year is $425/credit hour of private lesson.
