College Ministries would like to thank all who participated in worship during the past year. The attendance of community members and the many contributions of preachers, musicians and artists greatly enrich our worship life. Our regular worship schedule will resume in the fall with Sunday Morning Worship on September 1 and Weekday Chapel on September 4. Opening Convocation is September 5. We wish all students, faculty and staff a safe and relaxing summer.

Outreach will host a Closing Vespers campfire at Will Baker Park, Saturday, May 11--meet at CFL Canopy at 7:00 p.m. to walk to Will Baker Park and join Outreach teams for campfire, songs, worship and s'mores. Rain location, CFL Recital Hall.

Turn the Tragedy of Postville into a Victory for Justice: Join the broader northeast Iowa community in marking the 5th anniversary of the 2008 immigration raid in Postville, Iowa, and a call to Remember, Reconcile, and Reform. Email ministry@luther.edu if you would like information about rides to the commemoration taking place in Cedar Rapids on Friday, May 10, or join us in chapel on May 10 at 10:30 a.m. Additional information at www.lirs.org/postville-anniversary.

Baccalaureate Service is Saturday, May 18 at 8 p.m. in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life. All graduating seniors, their friends and families, and the community are invited to participate. Guests are asked to be seated by 7:45 p.m. Rooted in the college’s Christian heritage, this ecumenical service seeks to celebrate the diversity of the graduating class by incorporating readings and prayers from a variety of religious traditions. Audio recordings of the service are available upon request from the Office of College Ministries (http://ministry.luther.edu) or by emailing ministry@luther.edu. Each year a freewill offering is collected and designated to local and global charities in honor of the senior class. This year's offering will benefit the ELCA Malaria Campaign, Decorah Community Free Clinic and the Decorah Area Food Pantry.
