Interfaith Holiday Celebration: Diwali Reception, Sunday, October 26, 7:00 p.m., Peace Dining Room. Join College Ministries, the Diversity Center, and students from IFSA and ASA for light refreshments and a brief program to celebrate and learn about the Hindu festival of Diwali. Also known as the "festival of lights," Diwali celebrates the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The reception is free and open to all.


Luther Habitat for Humanity is going to Columbia, South Carolina for Luther's Spring Break Service Trip to build homes with Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity (http://www.habitatcsc.org/). Estimated trip cost is $490. Students can register at the SAC office in the Union with a $50 early bird deposit. After Nov. 20, the deposit will be $100.00. Good Grief - Students who have experienced the loss of a loved one are invited to join College Ministries and the Counseling Service for a light supper and conversation on Tuesday, October 28 at 5:30-7:00 p.m. in Nansen. Call Mary in the Counseling Service at 563-387-1375 with questions.


Student Volunteers needed for Fall Fling, Saturday, November 1. Sign-up form available at www.luther.edu/ministries and follow the Fall Fling 2014 link. Help local residents with Fall chores like raking, pruning, washing windows and cleaning. Sign up as part of a group or as an individual. Donations received will be divided among charities.

Work at a Bible Camp? What’s that all about? Green Lake Lutheran Ministries is coming to Luther Nov. 9th-10th to talk about just that! If you’ve ever considered working for a Bible Camp, we’d love to chat! We will be around for informal conversation before and after Focus, Sunday Nov. 9 and tabling 9-3 on Monday, Nov. 10 downstairs in the Union.
