Jim Martin-Schramm joined the Religion faculty of Luther College in 1993. He is an ordained member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and holds a doctorate in Christian Ethics from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Most of his scholarship has been in the area of ethics and public policy. He regularly teaches religion courses in Christian ethics, environmental ethics, and the ethics of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He also teaches interdisciplinary courses on ethics, energy, and climate policy as well as ethics and technology.
