I work with students, practicing teachers, and pre-service teachers from kindergarten through college level. Daily teaching at both the middle school and college level gives me a unique platform from which I can model the merging of theory and practice. Close partnerships with veteran teaching colleagues and administrators allow me to arrange for authentic classroom experiences for my students in science education methods courses.
Students from my tiny rural public school district have won two nationwide contests in robot design and problem solving, and one high school student earned a World Peace Prize Forum internship to conduct entomology research in Africa.
Courses I have taught include general science at the Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade level; Life, Earth, and Physical science at the middle school level; and Biology, Health, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology, and Microbiology at the high school level.
