Areas of academic focus: Fibers (paper making, bookmaking, weaving)

Interests: "Beyond the teaching and doing of art, my life provides many additional interests. The perfect day includes a good book to read and to ponder. It might be a mystery, a history, or a book on art techniques, but it must be a book that leaves my mind richer for the encounter with it.  This perfect day is often spent in travel…in the U.S. and abroad. The nomad in me feels most alive when experiencing sights, sounds. and interchanges that are new, creating personal reaction, and reflection. And although I read and often travel alone, friends and family complete my interests. Good talk, laughter, friends new or old….people  are an interest and necessity for the perfect day."
