Richard F. Hanneman, age 63, of Mount Horeb, Wis., died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home.
He was born on June 24, 1949, in Madison to Frederick "Bud" and Lorraine (Gaarder) Hanneman. He graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1967, from Luther College in 1971, and went on to earn his MBA. He worked as an accountant in Chicago for many years, worked for the DOT in Wisconsin, and then returned to Mount Horeb for his retirement. He shared 20 years of marriage with Mary Anderson McGuire.
Survivors include his sister, Eileen Hanneman ’73 (Larry Sromovsky) of Madison; four nephews, Jarek, Jason and Adam Sromovsky and John Yost; two great-nephews, Jason and Joshua; an aunt, Anita Gurda of Madison; six cousins; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and his aunts and uncles, Richard and Peg Gaarder, George Gurda, and Hazel in infancy.
Graveside Services were held on Friday, May 10, 2013, at MOUNT HOREB UNION CEMETERY, with the Rev. John Twiton officiating. The Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, served the family.
