LARRY D. LOSEN, age 67, of Middleton, Wis., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at home. He was born on May 10, 1945, the son of ALFRED LOSEN (Luther Class of 1918) and Gyda Losen. Larry graduated from Luther College in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 in Korea. Larry married Susan Hoffman on Sept. 4, 1976. He was hired by the FDIC Bank as a bank examiner from May 1967 to 2009. He then worked as a contractor from 2010 to 2012. Larry loved being a father, grandfather, uncle and great-uncle. Larry had a passion working as a bank examiner, and mentoring new employees. Larry also loved his Blue Lake Home in Minocqua, Wis., and enjoyed entertaining guests. He also was known to be an avid Badger football fan. Larry is survived by his wife, Susan; sons, Jason (Hilliary Wohlferd) Losen and Joshua Losen; brothers, GLENDON LOSEN ‘57 (Sandra) Losen and Alton (Violet) Losen; numerous special nieces, nephews and also dearest friends, Kenneth and Gayle Wilcox and Mike and Laurie Krutza. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Gyda; a son, John Losen; and a grandson, Sawyer Losen.
