Issue Regarding GoPrint Resolved

Update 9-13-13 8:00am: An update was applied to the GoPrint server last evening around 5:30pm. This update resolves the issue involving print jobs going to the incorrect print queue. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Technology Help Desk at x1000 or online at help.luther.edu.

Original Posting:There is a problem in which print jobs are finding their way to other users’ GoPrint release queues. GoPrint support is working to remedy this problem. The issue has been escalated to the company President and he assures us his team is doing all they can to diagnose the problem.

  • If you can avoid printing, please do so until the problem has been resolved.
  • If you see a print job show up in your queue that does not belong to you, please delete the print job. Do not release it because it may result in duplicate print jobs.
  • If you have a sensitive print job you have sent to the print queue that does not show in your print queue, please contact the Technology Help Desk to have this print job deleted or released for you.
  • If you have a non-sensitive print job that you have sent to the print queue that does not show in your print queue, print the document again. If you prefer, you may contact the Technology Help Desk to have this print job deleted or released for you.

 

For queues that supported redirecting: this function has been disabled to further contain misrouting of print jobs.
