Most faculty who have taught sections since 2013SP will notice (understatement) a plethora of extra folders in their Google Drive named, '2013SP', 'Miscellaneous', '2013FA', 'Office of the Dean'. You will see numerous instances of each. One instance of each folder is what was designed into the new Morsle, helping faculty to keep all their Morsle folders easily accessible but out of the way. An error with Google not returning accurate query results resulted in multiple instances of the folders. Google is still returning the bad results and we are working with them to get a resolution. You will be happy to learn that we only had this feature on for six hours before we discovered the problem and turned it off. The steps to take for cleaning up your Google Drive are as follows:
Delete all folders that are named, 'Office of the Dean', 'Office of the President', 'Demonstrations and Training'
If you have never stored any files on Morsle for your courses you can delete all folders named, '2013FA', '2013SP', '2013SSx'
If you have files stored in Morsle you will want to go to the 'read' and 'write' folder (in one of the containing folders... like '2013SP') for each course and perform the following steps:
- right-click on the folder
- click 'move to...'
- click 'My Drive' at the top without holding down any keys. A check will appear at My Drive and all other checks in which the folder is shared will disappear
Once this has been done for all your 'read' and 'write' Morsle folders you can remove all the folders named, '2013FA', '2013SP', '2013SSx'
