CFA Network Now Requires Registration for Access

This morning we completed configuration of the network switches in the CFA to require that all computers connecting to the CFA wired network are registered before they are allowed to access the network.

To increase network security, our plan is to eventually have our entire network configured this way. The wireless network, all of ResNet, and several other Academic/Admin buildings are also already configured to require registration. Also as part of this change computers in the CFA will now receive IP addresses in a different range.

We’ve automatically registered college owned computers with Campus Manager, so unless we’ve missed some, most users will not notice this change. If your computer sends you to the registration page when you attempt to visit another website, your computer is likely not registered. Follow the instructions on the page to log in with your norse key and register your computer
