This fall will bring about some modifications to meeting structures in LIS mostly to try to be a little more efficient with everyone’s time. We’ll also continue to look at asynchronous technology tools to help keep information flowing within LIS. LIS will gather monthly as a whole organization on the first Wednesday of the month (we’ll do so next Wednesday at 9:00 in Mott). These meetings will include some catch-up/social time, and some update reports from around LIS. This week, we’ll be going over the work that occurred this summer in particular. There will also be time to ask questions, or have group discussion on any items that folks would like to discuss, so please come prepared to ask/share topics.
Most of the departmental check-ins that we’ve had in the past are being restructured. Instead of teams coming to meet with me periodically to provide updates on what is going on, I’ll be attending the regular meetings of various teams on a periodic and rotating basis to check-in, hear updates and provide assistance as I can. I’m also meeting more regularly with team leaders to ensure communication continues to flow well.
