The LIS Technology Help Desk was informed recently of individuals receiving a phone call from a group off campus claiming to be responding to a service request related to their workstation. These callers used names of current employees of Luther and used compelling language. Please do not give out any information about the workstation in your office. If you have any questions, contact the LIS Technology Help Desk.

Colleague system maintenance complete. The UniData database has been upgraded to version 7.3.7. The system is now available for Datatel Colleague and the my.luther.edu website.
We will be conducting maintenance on Friday 1/23/15 from midnight until 4AM on the Decorah Metronet which supplies Luther's Internet service. This maintenance period will allow us to test the redundancy of the network to ensure that it remains working in the event of a single failure. There may be several brief outages of Internet service during this time.
1/22/15 Update -- The wireless in Koren was continuing to reboot, so I dug deeper and found another cause. Two network switches have been replaced this morning. This should resolve the instability of the Koren wireless network. Additionally this upgrade has improved the wired network on 2nd and 3rd floors. Wired ports on these floors are now capable of gigabit speeds.
