iGoogle (aka Norse Start Page) Retired Nov 1, 2013

As promised, Google did retire iGoogle on Friday, November 1, 2013. Per their website, "We originally launched iGoogle in 2005 before anyone could fully imagine the ways that today's web and mobile apps would put personalized, real-time information at your fingertips. With modern apps that run on platforms like Chrome and Android, the need for something like iGoogle has eroded over time."

OS X Mavericks

OS X Mavericks and Luther Workstations

On Oct 22, Apple released their newest operating system, Mavericks (OS X 10.9). In a change from past practices, Mavericks was released as a free upgrade for any computer running OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), or 10.8 (Mountain Lion).

At this time, LIS will *not* be installing Mavericks on any Luther owned workstations. This includes Faculty and Staff and Lab workstations.
