Luther College is seeking a Public Services Specialist to join our User Services and Circulation teams within Library and Information Services to provide circulation and research help services and to manage the public services equipment. The Public Services Specialist will provide circulation services on Saturdays and some weekday hours, will participate as a member of the Circulation and User Services teams, and supervise daily production of LIS student employees working at the Circulation and Technology Help desks. Luther College is accepting applications for the position of Instructional Technology Librarian. This position will provide leadership for planning, implementation, management, evaluation and support of technology in the Luther College curriculum, in partnership with faculty, librarians and LIS staff. The Instructional Technology Librarian is a member of the Library Staff within Library & Information Services (LIS).
Responsibilities of the Instructional Technology Librarian include identifying library instruction opportunities through technology training and instruction; collaborating with the Instructional Design Librarian in creating effective technology-enhanced learning environments, and promoting instructional technology design to faculty; working collaboratively to develop digital solutions in support of research, teaching and outreach; consulting on instructional technology infrastructure; and advocating for faculty and student perspectives on instructional technology.
