Using ILLiad for InterLibrary Loan Requests

What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is software that allows you to easily submit InterLibrary Loan requests to Preus Library. The Library converted to ILLiad during the summer of 2006 in order to provide enhanced InterLibrary Loan service for the Luther College community. ILLiad allows you to track and manage your requests online and makes the entering and processing of requests faster and more efficient for Interlibrary Loan Staff. Your list of requests and personal information is secure.

Registering for ILLiad

To use ILLiad, use your Norse Key to register your account. After you are registered, you will have the ability to manage and view your account online at any time, both on and off campus. When you first register for ILLiad, you need to fill out the User Information page.

Faculty/staff spouses can request a Norse Key from the Technology Help Desk at helpdesk@luther.edu or x1000. If you do not have an authorized Norse Key, you will not be able to place Interlibrary Loan requests.

Community borrowers and Luther College alumni do not have interlibrary loan privileges at Preus Library, and should contact their local public library for this service.
