Hello! My name is Payton Knutson and I am one of the blog coordinators for the Education 185/215: Observation in Area Schools trip to Gallup, NM this J-Term. I am a sophomore at Luther studying math and secondary education. When I’m not in class, you can probably find me running around the beautiful Decorah community, as I am a member of Luther’s cross country and track teams. I also sing in the Cathedral Choir, work as an Admissions Ambassador, and participate in the Teachers for Social Justice group on campus. I am so excited for this opportunity to learn from an experienced teacher and spend time working in a classroom this month. I also can’t wait to experience the culture of New Mexico, since I have never been in the southwestern part of the U.S. before.
I'm Abby, I'm 18 and a first-year at Luther. I'm majoring in elementary education with an endorsement in ESL and a minor in either Spanish or religion. I enjoy playing with my dog, reading, and biking around Decorah. In my free time, I'm a member of Hola-Enlaces, Luther Student Educator Association, Norse Knitters, and SAC Service.
