Last day in Dublin
Yesterday was a strange mix of emotions. We are all excited to come home, but we're going to miss this amazing class. At our last class dinner, we went around the room and cheered to new friends, great beer, wonderful professors, England, Ireland, and theatre itself. Before we left for this trip, we were very excited, and it met and rose above our expectations. It's only been three weeks, but it seems to have been both a moment and a lifetime.
Before we went to our final play, "Lessness", we all did our best to make use of our last day in Ireland. Some went to the Dublin castle, others to the National History museum for the second time. A few of us went shopping to get our final souvenirs. After the play, we all made our ways to our last pub, and I was excited when we went to the historic Temple Bar to listen to Irish folk music. It was the perfect way to end our journey.
The long ride home
Plane rides are always a bit of a pain, but everything on our flight from Dublin to Chicago went off without a hitch. When we landed we ran over to McDonalds for dinner and hopped on the Luther bus home. See you soon, United Kingdom!
