Quick Facts

In addition to the hundreds of students involved in internships or study abroad in January 2013:
- 660 students enrolled in more than 35 different first-year seminars
- 175 students participated in individualized study for credit--in directed study, research with a faculty member, or self-designed projects
- 45 students engaged in campus-based experiential courses
- more than 130 students did supervised clinical experience for credit for their majors in pre-professional programs
- over 100 students participated in an internship for academic credit, allowing them to gain experience in their field or explore their direction
- 47 students took part in domestic study away courses designed by Luther faculty--in Hawaii, the Cascade mountains of Washington, and the Minnesota Boundary Waters
- 717 students enrolled in more traditional courses on campus, in courses designed to engage students in actively exploring something new
