ITS plans to install Office 2016 on all Windows and Mac lab, classroom, and podium computers by the start of the Fall 2016 Semester. In addition, we will begin installing Office 2016 on faculty and staff computers as departments are upgraded, starting with this summer's upgrade for faculty in the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts. At this week's meeting, the following topics were discussed: 2016-17 Work Authorization Form, Magnetic Name Badges, Budget, Windows Laptops, Performance Reviews, Office 2016, Adobe CC Installation, Digital Media Center Planning, Collaborative Spaces, and Multimedia Staffing.
On Thursday, May 5 starting at 7:00 AM, ITS will be upgrading the software on our Network Sentry system. During a small portion of the upgrade process computers may be unable to register for access to the campus network and connections to the LCWireless, LCWireless5G and LCSecure wireless networks may experience service disruptions. The LCGuest network will not be affected by the upgrade and will be available the entire time. The upgrade process is expected to be completed before 8:00 AM. Update 5/5/16 7:45AM The Network Sentry upgrade is complete.
In preparation for the Summer 2016 Faculty Computer Roll, ITS is hosting two sessions that we encourage faculty and administrative assistants in the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts to attend.

On Thursday, April 27, beginning at 5AM, LIS will be upgrading the firmware on our wireless network controllers. The upgrade will cause a short disruption to the wireless network on campus. Network access through wired ethernet jacks, and to all campus servers, will not be affected by the upgrade.
Update 6:00 AM The software upgrade is complete and service is fully restored.
