For Brandt, the room phones have been removed and the hallway phones will be installed yet this month. Baker Village and College Apartments are next. Students who have need for a room phone and/or voicemail may complete the online form at https://www.luther.edu/helpdesk/lisforms/studentphone/.

PaperCut Upgrade - Last week, we upgraded to a newer version of PaperCut. The user interface is new and improved and the software now allows us to "Luther-ize" it which we will be doing soon.

Lab Imaging Updates - Windows and Mac lab/classroom/podium computer imaging is underway. Details of the progress and plans were shared. Windows computers will have Windows 7 and Mac computers will have Sierra. The plan is to have all images complete prior to the start of the fall semester.

Lab Changes - In regard to hardware upgrades, Olin 113, 205, and 301 now have SSDs. The residence hall lab computers will also be upgraded to SSDs as will the CFA 118 lab. The JN Lab is reducing from 10 to 4 computers per the request of the music department. In addition, the computers in the Digital Media Center Lab will be imaged.

Lab Availability Demo - An application to view the availability of computers in each of the labs on campus, along with a map of the space and software installed, is currently in progress. A demo was shared with the team.

Sensitive Data Manager - Luther purchased software that will help us locate and remediate personally identifiable data on Luther-owned computers. We have been piloting this in a few offices on campus and will extend the pilot throughout all of ITS. We discussed the next steps for the User Services team in regard to the pilot.

Move-in Weekend - This year we will have the Technology Help Desk student managers and ITS volunteers working move-in weekend. Other student workers will be moving in at their regular time. We will have staff in Ylvisaker, Olson, Brandt, and the Library on both Saturday and Sunday as we have in the past. Training for the student managers will be prior to move-in weekend; training for other Technology Help Desk and Multimedia student workers will be held after move-in weekend.

PaperCut - ITS staff are to use the new method for installing printers. We are piloting the process in ITS prior to piloting in other offices and are seeking additional feedback.

Start of Year Plans - We reviewed timing for early arrivals, student workers moves, room checks, and additional projects in progress prior to the start of the year.
