The following was e-mailed to all December 2016 and January 2017 graduates and anticipated May 2017 graduates:
As you transition to life after college, you’ll need to make sure your digital life makes the transition as well.
While you will retain access to your Luther email and the rest of Norse Apps, there are a few steps you should take as soon as possible.
- Update your recovery questions at norsekey.luther.edu. Although you can always call the Technology Help Desk for a password reset, time zones and international calls cause problems for some Alumni. Use the “Change questions” option.
- Copy everything stored on your H-Drive. Your access to your H-drive will be permanently removed on June 1 and all files will be deleted. If you are planning to remain at Luther as a student or a Luther employee, then you must complete the Online Form For Returning Students, BEFORE June 1.
Google Drive is a great alternative to the H-Drive. Not only do you retain access to Google Drive after you graduate, but you also have unlimited space. Other good options are physical storage, like external hard drives or DVDs, or hosted storage like Dropbox, OneDrive, or iCloud.
