We've activated a feature that allows users of EBSCO's Academic Search Complete database to more easily use their ILLiad account to request articles that we don't have in print or electronically. So, if you conduct a search in ASC you should now see in the results list a link that reads "Request through interlibrary loan" for items that we don't have. If you click on the link you go to an ILLiad OpenURL Logon Screen. When you login there with your Norse Key you will find a request form already populated with the citation information for your request. Feel free to test this feature and let me know if there are any problems.
We are interested to see how this will affect our workflow. Hopefully we won't be buried in new requests but this should make it easier for our users to acquire the articles they really want. We will add this feature to other EBSCO databases if things go well.
