Network Sentry Upgrade 6/10/16

On Friday, June 10 starting at 6:30 AM, ITS will be upgrading the software on our Network Sentry system. This is a minor upgrade but fixes an issue for some new wireless access points that we're installing this summer.  During a small portion of the upgrade process computers may be unable to register for access to the campus network and connections to the LCWireless, LCWireless5G and LCSecure wireless networks may experience service disruptions. The LCGuest network will not be affected by the upgrade and will be available the entire time. The upgrade process is expected to be completed before 7:30 AM. For updates on this upgrade see http://www.luther.edu/its/blog/

Network Maintenance 5/30/16 6:00AM

The server room network will undergo maintenance on Monday, May 30 beginning at 6AM and will be completed prior to 10AM. During this time access to all of our servers as well as access to the campus wired and wireless network will be interrupted. The LCGuest network, however, will not be affected and will remain up the entire time. The Luther website (www.luther.edu) will remain accessible but will be read-only during the maintenance, so it will not be possible to make changes to pages or submit web forms.
