Updated: Wireless Controller Software Upgrade

Update 05/22/17 6:45 AM: The upgrade was successful and is now completed.
On Monday 5/22/17 at 5:30AM ITS will upgrade the software on our Aruba Wireless Controllers. This upgrade will cause a temporary outage of the wireless in the following buildings: Baker Village, Main, Farwell, and Larsen. The upgrade is expected to be completed prior to 7:30AM. This upgrade is necessary to support upgrades that we are planning to our wireless network this summer.

Admin1 Transition May 24-25

In preparation for the transition to a new file server, all staff are asked to shutdown their computers at the end of the day on Wednesday, May 24. The admin1 file server will be changed to read-only at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24. The transition will occur Thursday, May 25, during the morning maintenance window and will be completed by 8:00 a.m. Contact the Technology Help Desk at x1000 with questions.

Recent worldwide ransomware attack

You may have seen recent news on a worldwide ransomware attack. Luther-owned computers are already protected from this attack thanks to our automated patching system. Personally-owned Windows computers need to be updated and rebooted immediately if their system updates are out of date.

KATIE Upgrade 5/26

We will be transitioning KATIE to the newest version of Moodle on Friday, May 26th. KATIE will be unavailable beginning at 12:01 AM on the 26th and will be back up at approximately 3:00 PM on Friday afternoon. We will provide an update to this post when KATIE is available. All of your work will carry over.

The Luther community has received hundreds of phishing messages with an invitation to view a Google document. This is a phishing scam. Please do not open these messages and delete them if they seem to be questionable or something you were not expecting. If you have clicked on the “Open in Docs” link and responded to the request to allow access to your information, please change your Norse Key password immediately.
