Italian

The goal of Italian instruction at Luther is to provide a solid introduction to the Italian language and culture.
Although we currently do not offer a major or minor in Italian, two courses are offered every year: Beginning Italian 101 and 102. These courses are one way of satisfying the college language requirement.
Students interested in music, art, or travel often choose this course sequence as a requirement or elective.
It is also possible to continue work in Italian by enrolling in various Directed Readings courses.
Luther’s affiliation with the Associated Colleges of the Midwest offers a special opportunity for students wishing to study in Italy. You can find more information here.
Please contact the Department of Modern Languages if you would like more information.
