Strings

In addition to study of solo literature, string players will be given a variety of chamber music assignments. Some assignments will involve performing in chamber ensembles with faculty members.  Possible assignments include:

  • String quartets and trios
  • Piano trios, quartets, and quintets
  • Sonata assignments with a pianist
  • Collaboration with student composer on a new work

String players will have frequent access to faculty for lessons, coachings, and master classes.

The intimate size of the program let everyone get the focus and teaching they needed.
