On Saturday, May 24, the history department celebrated the achievements of its graduating seniors at a reception at Baker Commons. Seniors came with their families and greeted each other with the warmth of four years of common classes and hanging out together discussing life. Mark Singer was also thanked for his devoted service to the department this last year. We are happy to say that he is headed to Minot State University in North Dakota for the next part of his journey.
On Sunday, May 25, the whole college gathered to congratulate all the graduating seniors. It is a Luther tradition for the faculty to form two lines and applaud the seniors as they leave the field. This is a wonderful opportunity for a final clap on the back before the students go out on their own.
