Anna Petersen will be joining our department Fall 2013 as our new modern European historian.

Anna has a B.A. from Concordia College and an M.A. from the University of North Dakota. She will receive her Ph.D. from Ohio State University this summer with a dissertation that focuses on the historical development of the Norwegian welfare state. She looks forward to offering a variety of courses in modern European history at Luther, including a course on Russian history in the fall.
