Courses by Geographic Area
History majors are required to take at least one course in each of the following areas: United States, European, and non-Western history. The latter includes Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In addition to the courses listed below by geographic area, the department occasionally offers courses on a one-time basis (usually listed as History 239 or 339).
