Q3: Will I have a Norse Calendar?

Yes. All Luther faculty, staff and students have a calendar created and associated with their account. Campuswide implementation of the calendar product as our primary calendaring tool was completed January 1, 2009.

Q4: In Norse Calendar, how can the default view for a meeting be changed to public?

In Norse Calendar, the default view for individual events is the same as the default calendar setting. For more information see Privacy settings for individual events.

Q5: In Norse Calendar, how can I use the “quick add” and include guests?

If you would like to add guests, include the phrase “with” followed by a list of email addresses. For more information, please visit Quick Add.

Q6: I want to add a public school calendar to my Norse Calendar; how do I find a specific calendar and add it?

The best way is to contact the particular school district office and request a calendar that is in the iCal format.

Q7: In Norse Calendar, is it possible to add the person’s name on the event so that viewing multiple schedules is easier?

From within a meeting, you can add an individual or a group of people and then click on the Check guest and resource availability link.

Q8: In Norse Calendar, is it possible to view multiple schedules, with each in its own column rather than all sharing the same column?

This feature is not supported by Google on the main screen, though you can view them from within the meeting as described above. This feature also includes a Find next available time option.

Q9: I’ve created a public Norse Calendar that I’d like to share easily with the community. What are my options?

You can create an “Easy Button” on your website that the community can click to have your calendar available from within their Norse Calendar. See ‘Easy Button’ for Norse Calendar for more information.
