Luther awards six alumni with Distinguished Service Awards

Luther College President Paula Carlson presented the Luther Distinguished Service Award to six alumni Friday, Oct. 16, at the college's annual Homecoming Alumni Dinner. The Distinguished Service Award, one of the highest honors bestowed by the college, is given in recognition of success and achievements in professional fields, service to society, contributions to community, and loyalty and service to Luther.

Luther College hosts Lost And Found farewell tour Nov. 14

Lost And Found brings their interactive and improvisational concert experience to Luther in a farewell tour performance at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on the Luther campus. The concert is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 for general admission tickets. The concert will also include a free will donation.

An actor in Griffin Theatre Company's "Letters Home" brings to life actual letters written by soldiers serving in the Middle East and their families.

Center Stage Series presents 'Letters Home'

"I never thought that I would be writing a letter like this. I really don't know where to start. I've been getting bad feelings, though and, well, if you are reading this…" wrote U.S. Army Pfc. Jesse A. Givens. This letter, among others, filled with a broad spectrum of emotions from hope to fear, love to pain, inspired the production "Letters Home." As part of Luther College's Center Stage Series, Griffin Theatre Company will perform "Letters Home" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on the Luther campus.
