College wins Higher Education Marketing Report awards

Luther College has received two awards in Higher Education Marketing Report’s 25th annual Educational Advertising Awards.  The Luther College admissions website received a gold award and was named “best of show” in the website competition, and Luther’s “Count Me In” print advertisements received the bronze award in the magazine series advertisement competition.

The Admissions website and the print advertisement series were developed in cooperation with the the Lawlor Group educational services firm of Eden Prairie, Minn.

Higher Education Marketing Report is a leading marketing publication that serves college and university admissions professionals. The monthly publication is in its 26th year and is read by thousands of marketers at higher education institutions throughout the country.

The annual HEMR national competition recognizes outstanding marketing and advertising work in the field of admissions. HEMR’s Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country.

The competition offers 16 categories of educational marketing. This year, over 2,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of HEMR.

The judges recognized 16 schools as a “best of show” winner. Gold awards were granted to 218 schools, silver awards to190 schools, and bronze awards to 170 schools.
