LASO sponsors Oct. 24 Take a Kid to a Game day for area children grades K-5

Luther Athletes Serving Others (LASO) will sponsor Take a Kid to a Game day on Saturday, Oct. 24, 12:30-4 p.m. at Carlson Stadium.

LASO invites children in grades kindergarten through fifth to attend the Luther football game against Buena Vista and sit in the stands with Luther student-athletes. 

The event is open to area children with no charge for admission.

To enroll a child in the Oct. 24 Take a Kid to a Game, call or send an email message to Stu Johnston, Luther College Counseling Service, (563) 387-1375 or email johnstst@luther.edu.

Check-in time for participants will be 12:30 p.m. in the Regents Center lobby, located on the Luther’s lower campus.

The football game begins at 1 p.m. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided for participants during halftime.

Parents should pick up their children in the Regents Center lobby after the game.

LASO members remind parents that the game day could be cold and windy, and children should wear weather- appropriate clothing.

Take a Kid to a Game is a national program endorsed by the NCAA. Luther’s Take a Kid to a Game events are sponsored and conducted by LASO, an organization of Luther student-athletes from the college’s 19 intercollegiate sports programs for men and women.
