Program sponsor: Luther College; program based in Sliema
Enrollment: 12-14
Eligibility: Must have successfully completed a minimum of three semesters of study prior to the start of the program with a GPA of 2.5 or above and be in good academic and disciplinary standing
Program fee: Luther comprehensive fee and technology fee, plus a $1,000 program fee, (fees cover tuition; room; board except during program vacations; group travel in the Mediterranean region; study abroad travel/accident and sickness insurance)
Financial aid:
Students should refer to the Financial Aid website for information on financial aid eligibility. Students who receive Pell Grants as a portion of their financial aid package are also eligible to apply for a Gilman Scholarship (competitive). Application deadline: March 1 ($200 non-refundable deposit due from accepted students the first Friday in September)
Coursework includes Paideia II: Ethical Issues in the Mediterranean, a Service Learning class, where program participants teach English to recent immigrants to Malta, Maltese History and Culture, additional classes taken at the University of Malta, and experimental learning travel components.
